When church softball was in season, it was NOT my child, Levi, that people on the bleachers at the ball field were pointing & laughing at, as he took a whiz on the light pole.  And after a split second of sheer embarrassment, I finally found my voice & yelled his name & told [...]

The big Dutch family reunion takes place tonight at dinner.

Family Reunion 2009
Day #1
Wow-  I did NOT just spend an hour uploading this post, just like I did NOT procrastinate and have to stay up past [...]

Tomorrow, we set out on a bus.  Yes, a bus, but not any ole’ bus - this bus comes fully equipped with couches, kitchenette, bathroom, & 7 small kids under the age of 6.  Plus of course their parents, grandparents, & a newlywed aunt & uncle. {& thankfully no pets}

It will definitely be an adventure.

The other day, Levi started singing “This is My Story”.  We have been working on some hymns, but not this particular one.  I asked him who taught him that, and he quickly replied, “My cousin, Will”.  Yes, his 5 year old cousin taught him the words to a hymn.  That TOTALLY erases all the other [...]

We spent 4th of July at Donald’s parents this year.  Papaw & G.G., & cousin Henry (Amanda’s little boy)  were able to be there & my parents joined us for a while.  Amanda (Donald’s sister) got off work early and was able to spend some time with us at the end of the night.
